Our talented and creative instructors are one of the amazing things about Powell Gardens. This month, meet Lynn Soulier, an instructor of a variety of healing classes including yoga, aromatherapy and herbal wellness.
Lynn is an avid organic gardener and is president of Gardens of Delight: The Center for Natural Healing near Parkville, Mo. Along with her degree in herbal studies, Lynn is certified in Energy Healing and both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. She enjoys everything outdoors, especially growing medicinal herbs.
On Sept. 29, you can tap into Lynn s vast knowledge during a workshop titled prima classe Herbs and Spices from Around the World. In this hands-on class she will teach you how to blend your own spice mixes, tell you about the plants they come from and their healing properties, plus send you home with samples and recipes. Learn more and sign up .
Besides prima classe being a popular instructor, prima classe Lynn volunteers in the Heartland Harvest prima classe Garden prima classe here at Powell Gardens. She expresses a deep love of learning about all the varieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs that grow well in our climate.
As part of a creative team of volunteers, Lynn helped construct the wattle fence around the Kitchen Garden near the Missouri Barn. A project taken on in the winter, Lynn recalls, I never had so much fun being so freezing cold before. That s the volunteer spirit!
