When we say "Siberia" in mind, usually, we have a geographic map of Russia - and this is the part of the Urals all the way to the Pacific. ocw The Russians, however, expressed more precisely, so that they have the name of the "Far East" which marks the easternmost part of Siberia. This, therefore, the eastern part of Siberia is one of the few remaining parts of the planet about which we know very little or, let's be honest: we do not know, in fact - nothing. In such an environment placed this our story. Southeast, Zabaikalsk rim taiga, towards China and Mongolia is completely uninhabited aside from those few stubborn Yakuts, Mongols ocw ... and Uighurs who did not want to bother civilization and retreated deeper - some in the taiga in a steppe, but according to preferences. Some of them even today listlessly wandering herds of reindeer, pulling their tents on the bare desert, accompanied by their small, tough Mongolian horses. At these bezljudnim steppes nothing and nobody survives and no one remains forever. Everything is temporary, everything is uncertain. These are, by the way, and mounting settlement construction firms in which our Serbs set pipeline to China. For the country, the only thing that is permanent and unchangeable - these are small Orthodox churches and monasteries, located in the unspoiled lands taiga, ocw tucked quietly among the birches and pines. One of these, silent and fairytale city is - Berezka .... A small Russian Orthodox monastery. All of the wood. And the temple is made of wood. And monastic hermitage are wooden. Tables, beds - all made of wood. They live more or less the way it is lived and before three hundred, four hundred ... or a thousand years, anyway ... no electricity, no radiator, no internet. There is respected old tipik. Here it comes and prays. They live modestly, quietly and peacefully. Without too many worries. But ... (There's always a "but") Abbot Nectarios was a little worried. Spinning beads and looking out the window frozen wasteland to the border with China and Mongolia, where rivers of Silk and Arguna occurs Amur. Outwardly - everything is fine. But inside, it leads to a fierce battle. She invisible struggle that each of us leads to thoughts. And in addition to these personal struggles, abbot carries even heavy cross of responsibility for her brother and a religious vocation ocw ... Well, two years ago, came from Moscow, young, full of energy, all uplamteo flame of faith ... and behold - it has already broken the various trials and general he does not know how to cope with numerous hardships. ocw Older monks say that earlier it was not so. All that was needed Monastery - gave the taiga - the winter so desolate, flying so rich in mushrooms, cranberries, blueberries, various berries. Rivers here are crystal clear. On the cleared land monks planted ocw buckwheat, currant, blackberry, aronia ... all this is growing, and succeeding. Of goats and sheep get milk. Well and clothing, if needed, can provide from animal skins. And so, you see, and lived a thousand years ago, without friction, quiet ... And then these forests began to ply the numerous poachers, forest thieves and ribokradice. To set the iron traps to abduct forest resources, to hold out for valuables ... and then to the world's powerful agents of corporations ocw who sniff, always eager Siberian oil, gold, gas, diamonds, minerals ... Now is not deserted taiga is not what it used to be. Illegal immigrants coming up from below, from the south, from China and Mongolia. Even our small monastery could not remain completely spared all that ... Since then, over time they began to disappear monastery things. All you stay out at night - in the morning may dawn in the monastery. Thus disappeared gasoline tines for snow removal. Well chainsaw. So various tools. Then cattle. Well, the other day was gone even old battered tin containers by some of the brothers forgotten outside ... Because of all this, the abbot decided not to send brethren on listening to the forest to cut firewood. Until the situation calms down. And lately, and the beast somehow osiliše, ocw poludeše. Packs of wolves bolder began to compasses monastery grounds. ocw Old John was God-fearing monk, priest fraternity, indispensable for choirs ... but something was ill, probably from the cold and continental Asian mel
